"In August, 46 Friends and their guests visited Cairness House, 4 miles SE of Fraserburgh.
The owner, Mr Julio Soriano y Ruiz made us most welcome and gave us a detailed tour
of James Playfair's architectural masterpiece. He explained the current state of
the ongoing restoration. This has been going on for the past 10 years and has some
way to go yet. We had a jolly lunch in the original kitchen and fell into the coach
for the return journey to Banff. Bravo to the organizers."
